One of those videos I always think back to when I think about how impressionable young woman are. I tear up every time I see this video because my heart breaks every time I remember that “like a girl” is used as an insult to imply that being a girl means you are weak. How did the 6-8 year old girls once feel confident and blind to the gender stereotype placed upon them only to later realize that they should feel less than to a man? The next time you come across a young girl, whether it is your little sister, cousin, or daughter, remind her that she is more than her looks. She is strong, empowered, and a brave person. Remind her the ways in which woman are powerful, intelligent, and worthy.
